Situated at the southern end of Windermere, at the point where the lake drains into the River Leven, Fell Foot Park is a lakeside country park that is ideal for both couples wanting to relax, and families.

There is ample space on the well tended lawns for a relaxing afternoon enjoying the scenery. The younger and more energetic can enjoy the free adventure playground, and there is plenty of space for games or to enjoy a picnic. Access to the shallow waters of the Lake/River is good, and when the weather is fine, it is safe enough for children to enjoy parent supervised paddling and swimming. Rowing boats and kayaks are available to hire on most days, weather and available craft permitting.

Dogs are allowed, but should be kept on a lead.

For those who do not want to picnic, there is a cafe, set in a boathouse, serving drinks and light snacks, and featuring both inside and outdoor seating.
